Internship
Iceland Design and Architecture aims for progress in design and architecture in Iceland focusing on sustainable development. Its role is to facilitate and promote design of all kinds as a vital aspect of the future Icelandic society, economy and culture.
Owned by and standing up for the entire spectrum of Icelandic design (architecture, graphic design, fashion, product design, textiles, interiors, furniture, jewelry, landscape architecture), the agency stands in the heart of the Icelandic design scene.
DesignMarch is Iceland’s most important annual design event and the largest production of the Iceland Design and Architecture.

As part of a small, dynamic and – if you don’t mind us saying – quite awesome team, you will get a chance to contribute to and gain experience in a wide spectrum of tasks, which may be tailored according to your skills and interests, and could include eg.
- event organizing
- blogging
- working with social media
- graphic design tasks
- web master’s tasks
- work on images
We will provide you with an office space, good coffee and funny jokes, but unfortunately our internships are unpaid.

We are looking for independent students that are passionate about (Icelandic) design. We appreciate great communication skills, both in terms of languages and editing skills as well as visual communication (photography, graphic design and computer skills in relation to them)
We accept students and recent graduates from multiple disciplines, and hope that you have already finished a BA.
Our internships can be either full-time or part-time (Iceland Design Centre working hours are 9-17, though hours may vary). Internships ideally start in mid-August or mid-January. We cannot provide internship positions during the summer months.
