DesignTalks 2022 - Anders Lendager, architect, CEO and founder of Lendager Group
Anders Lendager, architect, CEO and founder of Lendager Group will be speaking at DesignTalks 2022, the international conference and signature event of DesignMarch, exploring how design and architecture can help imagine and propose alternative futures and promote change.
Lendager Group has established itself as one of the strongest and most influential companies in Denmark around sustainable architecture. Their building project the Resource Rows was nominated for the world’s most prestigious architecture award – the EU Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award 2022. The project is build using upcycled materials and saves 29% CO2.
Anders Lendager graduated as an architect from the Aarhus School of Architecture. He is recognized as a sustainability pioneer, who is known for pushing the boundaries to make the Danish construction industry more sustainable and circular. His pioneering spirit is represented on the board of the Danish Association of Architectural Firms, as member of the SDG Accelerator’s Advisory Board by the United Nations, as visiting professor at Aarhus School of Architecture - as well as different committees leading climate action and environmental development.
Anders has mastered the art of rethinking the foundation for how we go about construction projects and for how to generate new methods for upcycling of materials - thus creating a healthy, green and circular world for us all through the built environment.
DesignTalks 2022 will take place in Harpa on the 4th of May and is curated by Hlin Helga Guðlaugsdóttir. This year the event will be moderated by Marcus Fairs, editor-in-chief and founder of Dezeen, connecting the conversations to a wider context, highlighting its relevance to an audience across professional fields.
The programme will be an exploration of resilient approaches, regeneration and reconnection with traditional crafts and indigenious wisdom, experiments rewiring and rethinking current systems, the design of data and information, extended realities and speculation into the future as a form of creative and critical reflection of the now.
“It will be a celebration of imagination - and a moment for deep thinking.”
- curator Hlin Helga
