Fischersund Art Collective at DesignTalks 2025
Lilja and Ingibjörg Birgisdóttir, members of Fischersund Art Collective will be speaking at DesignTalks, with other members partaking in creating an exhilarating site specific journey through their magical world
DesignTalks takes place on the 2nd of April in Harpa, Reykjavik with the theme of The Source.
Comprised of the siblings Inga, Jónsi, Sigurrós, and Lilja, along with partners Sindri and Kjartan, the Fischersund Art Collective brings together their combined fine art and musical training into one creative force within Icelandic immersive, conceptual contemporary art. The historic black house at Fischersund 3 serves as the heart of their perfume brand, where the collective’s storytelling unfolds through each scent, complemented by music, visual arts, and poetry.

We are so used to looking at images with our critical brain, but scent bypasses all those critical walls and just goes straight into our little hearts.” - Lilja Birgisdottir
The DesignTalks programme will revolve around The source in all its forms. Whether it’s taking a moment to go back to the source, reconnecting with the roots or restoring oneself, the source is also commonly used for a moment in time where something begins or springs into being, a source of ideas, inspiration or materials.
