In short - Þórarinn Eldjárn’s Alphabet
Þórarinn Eldjárn’s Alphabet is a spin-off of a project by author Þórarinn Eldjárn and graphic designer Sigurður Oddsson. It is based on Þórarinn’s alphabet lyrics, which he wrote in the 90s to go along with the Icelandic alphabet.
Sigurður has created illustrations based on each of these letters, which adorn the covers of a new series of books known as Lespúsl. The books, which are being released four at a time, form a letter when put together.

The cover illustration is a graphic visualization of the poem Vammfirring which describes the process of composing a poem, how words are connected, words are born from words, some soft, others course, each with its own character but creating a coherent whole.
