DesignMarch in Oslo
DesignMarch in collaboration with the Icelandic Embassies in the Nordic capitals host events in the form of podcasts, taped in the preparation of the festival in Iceland. Participants are Hannah Stoveland Blindheim and Vignir Freyr Helgason. Moderator is Pétur Níelsson is a journalist from NLA University College.
The aim is to bring together designers from Iceland and the Nordic capitals in an interesting conversation about design and architecture, thereby creating a foreign forum for the festival in collaboration with the embassy and foreign cooperation site. In the time of Covid and closed borders, it is important to strengthen communication across those borders and to draw attention towards DesignMarch and Icelandic design from abroad.

Hannah Stoveland Blindheim is a Norwegian architect who graduated from the Oslo school of Architecture January 2019 and has since then worked at KIMA architects in Oslo. She has worked on several rehabilitation projects in different scales through the last two years at KIMA.
Vignir Freyr Helgason is an Icelandic architect with a master’s degree from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture (2010) and an executive master’s degree in Architectural Heritage from The Oslo School of Architecture and Design (2020). Since 2011 he has worked in Norway as an architect and planning consultant. From 2018 he has been engaged as a senior advisor for the Directorate for Cultural Heritage in Norway (Riksantikvaren) where he has worked on projects and strategies related to urban heritage, city and place development. He has lectured on subjects related to transformation and sustainable development of industrial heritage environments and buildings.
Pétur Níelsson is a journalist from NLA University College. He has worked as a journalist for NRK and national newspapers, partner and writer for the consultant company Brainify and media- and communication consultant for The Oslo Green Party and World Wildlife Fund (WWF) in Norway.
